About Me About me...I'm a fun loving thirty-something who's having the time of my life. I've always prided myself in being a 'bit' different than most 'normal' moms my age. LOL Maybe I'm a lot different, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm enjoying getting back involved in improvisational comedy and interactive theater. I love working without a script and getting right into the fun with the patrons and audience members at events with the theater groups I'm involved in. This past summer I jumped back into full interactive theater, and loved every minute of it. My son and I volunteered at Silverleaf Renfaire in Battle Creek, where for five weekends you could catch me pirating it up at the mystical realm's Jailhouse. It was AMAZING fun, and I realized how much I really missed being involved in theatre and improv, and I was thrilled my son wanted to join me in the fun. For 2007 Kyle and I will be roaming Silverleaf as official Pirates! I have been cast with the Silverleaf Players as a land locked pirate in seach of a ship, and Kyle is my dutiful cabin boy, Nathaniel. How does a pirate become land locked in a god forsakenly cold place like Michigan? A lot of bad luck and a compass that always points North...go figure. But I am CERTAIN there is buried treasure in the realm...I just need to find the right X. You see the darned pixies love to play tricks on me and have X's everywhere! Blasted little buggers!!! I will catch one of them yet! *grins wickedly* Being a part of Silverleaf has brought SO MANY wonderful new friends, I can hardly express my gratitude and excitement in being part of this wonderful family. During my additional spare time, *cough* I've been training in Okinawa GoJu Ryu for three and half years. I'm in the final stages of preparing for my black belt test in 2007. I'm also an instructor in the children's program at our dojo, and love working with the kids. I also train in Krav Maga, which is pretty damn intense hand to hand combat. It's a challenge to my mind and my body. It's and incredible rush. Pity the man who should ever decide to attack me. *heh* Through my contacts here at myspace, and during my additional additional spare time, I've also gotten involved with a stage combat team, The Theatrical Combat Network...TCN. http://www.myspace.com/the... . I'm currently adding sword fighting to my list of ways to kick ass. LOL *bows..thank you Russ* I was honored to be part of a battle scene in the movie "Blood Games" which was filmed here in Detroit. TCN has several exciting gigs happening in the next couple months. We have another film project slated for April, and also a Star Wars Jedi vs Sith show in conjuction with Ypsilanti Public Libraries on April 21st. It's free and it's fun..come see us! And finally, special thanks to Russ for his endless patience in teaching me the sword fighting sequences for the show. *bows again* I hope to someday make you proud, Russ! On the more quiet, normal end of my life...wait, I have one of those? I'm a high school teacher and a married mom of two riotous, wonderful boys. My oldest son is one of the first Jr. Black belts at our dojo, and I am incredibly proud of him. He also is a lover of renfaires, and you will find him roaming Silverleaf with me next summer. My youngest son is taking the whole renfaire thing into consideration..lol Rumor has it you may also find him running errands at faire next summer. He's been inspired by his brother's earning of a Jr Black Belt, and has started karate again after a two year break. Last but not least, there's my wonderfully supportive, yet incredilbly muggle husband. He thinks all this renfaire business is a bit on the strange side, but bless him, he knows how very much I love it. There's still hope for seeing him in pirate garb some day. :o) He is incredibly tolerant off all the wonderful things filling my life outside of our family time. I love him for realizing how happy all these things make me, and encouraging me to continue to follow my path of personal fulfillment. I never was a simple person. Thank god for giving me a man who understands and appreciates that in me.

So I added a profile here months ago, but I have been able to get back in since then. Finally got the password recovery thing to actually send me an email so I could remember what Log in and stuff I created..lol So my apologies to those who have had friend requests sitting for AGES..lol I keep current with myspace and I have many of you there as well. I will try to do a better job of signing in and keeping up with things here as well.
